I should tell you now that this post is photo heavy as I really love how this turned out.
Christmas Tree Cupcakes Nail Art Design by Simply Rins
The idea is to come up with a cupcake design that mimics a Christmas tree. So instead of the usual cherry on top, I placed a yellow dot on top of the cupcake to resemble a star on top of a Christmas tree. An option is to use a star fimo nail art or a star-shaped rhinestone. But I don't have either so I just used a yellow dot. It looks pretty good, me thinks.
Unlike the previous Christmas Cupcake Nail Art, this one has a red cupcake holder so that the cupcake itself would be green to represent the Christmas tree.
I used 2 coats of Sally Hansen Cherry Red for the french tips and Alessandro Art 77-166 for the cupcake icing. All the white parts in the design were painted using white acrylic paint.
The cupcake design will work for short nails. If you noticed, my index fingernails have very short nail beds. Its length is only a third of my other nails. In fact, I recently broke the nail on my right index finger. What I did is I adjusted the height of the french tip and the green cupcake icing.
My good friend, Don took a few photos of my Christmas tree cupcake nail design during one of our coffee sessions. Here are 2 of my favorite shots:

I always love how he composes his shots of my nail art. And so I always make it a point to include it in my post whenever available. They have been my inspiration to experiment on hand poses to present my nail designs in different and creative ways. :)
I prepared a short video nail art tutorial for this Christmas nail design. Watch it here:
I hope you liked this Christmas tree cupcake nail art as much as I did. It's quite simple to do and it's a very interesting design to wear for the holidays.
